Haidari: I will not assume any office in the state and it is impossible to move in an overnight from a century of dictatorship to democracy

Shafaq News/ Haidari, confirms after the end of his tenure in the chair the Commission that he will not assume any position in the Iraqi state, attributing this to one of the laws of the Commission, as referred to the status of Faily Kurds, to whom Haidari belongs, and their status after 2003, and he indicates that the displacement committed against them was one of the reasons that prevented generations  through the periods of the seventies and eighties of the actual participation in the ranks of both the Kurdish or Arabic parties.
- Information talked about the attempts of the executive power to interfere with the work of the Commission , Do you think this information is correct, and what is the most prominent credibility?

- I say honestly that the government and the the Prime Minister personally gave us a lot of facilities and exceptions during the election process, but the crisis began after the announcement of results and the issue of interrogation and finally the Federal Court decision to link the independent executive power bodies. I can say that all this did not affect the work of the Commission and still maintain their independence.

- In the recent parliamentary elections, the Commission was charged of non- neutrality, how  did the Commission deal with this issue?

- There is no doubt that the democratic process in Iraq, is new and it is impossible to move from the dictatorship of a century into a democracy over night overnight Democracy. It  is not a poem can be memorized but it is a cumulative culture starting in the early stages of the life of man that it  can not be turned through an overnight to the Democracy. So I find that Commission questioned twice and after the announcement of election results in both times, and this indicates that it is conclusive evidence that we accept democracy, according to our standards.

- How do you view the performance of the current commission measured with the performance of the Commission that preceded it?

- I think that the former Commission led functions in the circumstances and conditions different from the current commission in many areas and tried to learn from the mistakes of the former Commission and not to be repeated through several measures, including voter registration update, as well as determining  the number of voters in each station to prevent multiple voting .
- In the years after 2003 a number of Kurdish Faily figures held positions in the Iraqi state - and that was below the required level and aspirations of this group - how do you assess it, in particular through the conditions Iraq, and that made the Faily case as not to be  included on the agenda of the priorities of some ?

- I May disagree with you on this subject for some of the reasons of substance, including the self-issue of assume Faily Kurds for some positions were subjected to these two factors, The Faily  Kurds  have been subjected to unfair campaigns since the beginning of the seventies and eighties process of displacement was one of the reasons that prevented generations of those periods of active participation among the parties, whether they Kurdish or Arabic afflicted in an attempt to provide a living for their families.
There is also a subjective factor which  is also important, it is the unit of discourse of the Faily Kurds for both parties and political forces or the international organizations they already question the legitimacy of Kurdish suffered horrors, so I believe it is necessary to the decision-makers to give a doubling importance of the rights of this sect .
