The poet Jalil Haidar: My father appointed Salam A'adil in the Faily school after the government had dismissed him

and he did not have Iraqi nationality certificate. So they refused to accept him in the  Faculties of Arts or Education and other. Therefore he was hopeless, but in Sweden and in the advanced stages of age he studied Swedish modern literature,in (de Varembé) College for two years and from there he began acculturation between Arab and Swedish poetry.

He worked in the ( Alf Ba'a) magazine until 1979, when the Ba'athefication began and the sword reached the necks of intellectuals, he was forced to leave Iraq with his family to Beirut, where he worked in the press and his name was preceded there and settled for a time in Beirut then  he left to Syria. He then moved permanently to Sweden and resided for  23 years there. He was active and he printed three volumes of poetry and won the respect and love of Swedish poets and established several festivals with the participation of Arab and Swedish poets .
