Barzani denies a request to settle U.S. troops in the region

\the President of the Kurdistan Region calling  to settle  a part of the U.S. troops in the region, stressing at the same time that the problem of the disputed areas is not only the responsibility of the Iraqi government, but also the U.S. side is responsible for a large part of that problem as well.

"The leadership of the Kurdistan Region has  already expressed a clear position on the question of the U.S. forces remaining in Iraq, and emphasized explicitly that Iraq is in urgent need for U.S. help until achieving full readiness of Iraqi security forces." The deputy chairman of the Kurdistani Democratic Party Nejirvan Barzani, said in a statement to Asharq al-Awsat

He denied unequivocally, "What is being circulated about the President of Kurdistan Region Massaud Barzani's call to  settle a part of the U.S. forces in Kurdistan," explaining that "the president of the Region will not have a unilaterally position about  this aspect, but it will be decided in accordance with the consultations of all Iraqi political components, and the leadership of the region will not deviate on the compatibility of those forces in dealing with the issue.
