Selman's pit prison: the former regime wanted to uproot the roots of the Faily Kurds!!

Shafaq As soon as Selman's pit prison's name is heard we recall  one of the tragic painful memories experienced by the  Faily Kurds...

We mean of course the Kurds who are  still remaining  alive  after they had witnessed the horrific prison which bore vivid reminders of the brutality of the defunct Aflaqi ( Bathiest) regime against the Faily Kurds, for no logical reason except  to revenge for their honorable  history of struggle against dictatorship.

Shafaq thought of meeting one of the sons of the Faily Kurds segment (Abdul Rahim Alna'ib Faily), who was detained by the authority of the oppressive dictatorship. He told us about some of these heinous crimes done against the Faily Kurds in the notorious Selman's pit prison.  He Said:
" I do not see any logical reason for my arrest for five years and eight months! But I can say for sure that the former regime wanted to root out, the Faily Kurds from the roots by those procedures."

About the status of prisoners after their release from that prison he said:
"We departed Selman' pit prison in 1987 with a very poor situation and we were closer to madness, I recall that a number of detainees were mad at the camp itself , and I am  indeed surprised of this treatment against us in spite of the fact that we are genuine Iraqis in our country. When we had asked them about the reasons they said that those

measures had been precautionary .What precaution they were talking about?!
