The MP for the Kurdish coalition blocs A'Ala Talabani said in an interview with Shafaq that "The security situation in the governorate of Kirkuk since the fall of the former regime until now is  unstable, as evidenced by a marked deterioration. "
The police chief of Kirkuk governorate Brigadier General Turhan Mohammed said in a press statement yesterday that all components of Kirkuk,are  demanding U.S. troops to stay in the governorate , despite the announcement of the police leadership for their willingness to seize things, but there are pending political files that might cause the opposite situation regarding security maintenance . "
