Ahmed Hama Khan .. My research at the University of Beirut brought me in the history .. I mastered eight languages but I can not speak the mother language

Shafaq News/ A number of specialists in the history of the Kurds  are persevering  now to explore the history of the Faily Kurds, and study the particles of their history as a wronged segment  exposed to complex and unusual persecution.

One of these specialists is Ahmed Ja’afar Hama Khan whom "Shafaq  News" Interviewed, and raised the problem in the study of Faily Kurdish history . He began his study preparing for discussion at the Beirut Arab University, to get doctoral "my study is about the history of Faily Kurds in Kurdistan and Iraq for the period from

1500- 2012  It is an important period of the history of the Faily Kurds .In the wake of  the year 1500 there was a war between the two empires , the  Safavid and Ottoman, and the results of many consequences of this war, including the Faily Kurds becoming the first victims of this war. In this sense, this element is the foundation on which the thesis spin on, and it has been recognized by Beirut Arab University. "

He added , "the study is still at the stage of the sources and references, and here I would like to thank the Chairman of the Board of Directors  of the Foundation of  Shafaq of culture and the media for the Faily Kurds Mr. Ali Hussein  Faily  because  he  denoted  to me a number of the Faily magazine and I think I found answers of a lot of questions that were in my mind in this magazine."

With regard to the stages, which addressed his studies on the Kurds in general and the Faily Kurds in particular, he emphasized that "the issue of the Kurds was  the main topic during the presentation of the Master of the University of Beirut seven years ago . When I had moved to the doctoral thesis in history, I planned to study the history of the Faily Kurds because it is the most important part in the Kurdish history and is the forgotten from the Kurdish history .

He explained that " The Master, which I got from Beirut Arab University was under the title (the history of the British-Kurdish relations in Kurdistan of Iraq),  although the topic was discussed by many, but I chose the period from that history for which the sources and references are few in addition that it was for the first time on the subject of the Kurdistan Bulgarian documents were submitted, and I'm now as a  Bulgarian citizen I benefited from the Bulgarian Archive in the writing of history. "

He continues, "The Faily Kurds had their role as well as the others, and that their role is clear in the history of the Kurds in many  positions, and they did not defend themselves only , but they were defending others during that as well , and we are looking at the issue of Faily Kurds, it must be studied from the roots and foundations".

In answering the question of "Shafaq  News", on what the Faily Kurds earned after the fall of the former regime,  he said " the Faily Kurds began a rapid pace to recover their rights as citizens just like any citizen, but in some places they succeeded, and some are still trying, and in other places things  were hard , but all things are moving towards the end of all these issues . This inspires us for hope and optimism, and I'm always optimistic. "

He talked about his life: " I was born in Baghdad  in1939 in a Kurdish family whose origins are from Khanaqin. My grandfather and my father died early, So I moved to live among an Arab environment  since I had been a kid, and this made my culture and language to be of Arabic, and I know some of Kurdish words.  I master eight languages, but the Kurdish language is not one of them, and this is due to the environment where I was born and the circumstances in which I lived. I  completed my primary school and secondary school in Baghdad as an  outside student. When I applied to the University of Baghdad I was accepted at the Department of Philosophy and Sociology, but they told me that my papers were incomplete I am a Kurd and the specimen of this situation was existed. So  I decided to leave Iraq and I remained in Kuwait. Then   I moved to Bulgaria, as they welcomed me and opened the way to work and I am now I am a retired Bulgarian citizen. "
