that the procedures for the application of the article are still marking time in the early stages without making any progress.
The Vice-Chairman of the Committee Nermin Othman said in an interview with Shafaq "The Article 140 is still marking time in its early stages due to lack of care by the three Iraqi presidencies for the claims of our Committee, as well as due to the blocs and some parties which do not believe in the Article 140".
"We had submitted a report in 2007 to the three presidencies on deducted  areas from the region of Kurdistan, and our report was accompanied by old and new maps" said she adding, "but the three presidencies have not shown any interests in our report to the day because certain people in the Presidency of the Republic has exercised the right of veto against referring  the issue to the House of Representatives. "
The representative of the Kurdistan Region in the Supreme Committee for the implementation of Article 140 of the permanent Iraqi constitution and  the President of the General Authority for the disputed areas between Baghdad and Erbil, Mohammed Ihsan, had said earlier that the three Iraqi presidencies are neglectful and indifferent to the implementation of the constitutional article 140 . They did not make any  serious effort so far to implement it .
