Sudanese Kurds" is not a joke

Kurdistan TV

At first glance, the reader would think it is a joke, or the like...

The title is somewhat curious considering  the geographical distance between Kurdistan and the remote area, as well as differences in customs, traditions and even the atmosphere and weather. Those who follow the  Kurdish situation  will discover that this phenomenon can be described as normal as the Kurdish migration level  is higher than any other ethnic group migration in the region for the Kurds scattered to all the world  ends. The idea of conducting the search for those people sticked to me a while ago for quite some time, especially when  an old man told me some preliminary information about their history, but the idea crystallized seriously when I met in Beirut someone from Sudan and I told him about my project. He decided to help me by giving information he owned about them because his city is located near the regions in which the Kurds live

Kurds generally concentrated in the western region of Sudan in the towns (Omdurman, Scala, etc.). Their  number is approximately 80 000 people.  Nearly two-thirds of them speak Kurdish (Alchormangy), and to this day still maintain their  known Aryan color. The Kurdish migration to Sudan to Sudan started seriously during  the Ottoman era i.e. when the Empire stretched and Ottomans controlled over the Middle East, including certainly the Sudan and Kurdistan .Before that there was a presence of the Kurds since the days of Kurdish leader Mohamed Ali, but  it was not the size as in the Ottoman period. Considering the conditions experienced by the region at that time many of these survived and settled there, after  they  had got the convenient living conditions, They took advantage of their full capacities and energy in the industrial market, especially in the field of blacksmithing. Till nowadays  Kurds innovate in their trades and industries, among the industry leaders in Sudan. Taking into account the length of the  period of their existence in Sudan we  will see  the difficulty of the preservation of all customs and traditions of fashion, but the majority of them are still engaged in the rituals and traditions of the Kurds example,  they still  celebrate Nowruz  at 21st of March every year,  by holding Dubka circles which partly differ from the Kurdish known Dubka. With regard to religions and beliefs  of the Sudanese Kurds, this  issue is rather complex, since the majority of them convert to Christianity which is equivalent to 60%.  20% of them are Muslim and the rest adopted different religions such as  Judaism and Buddhism. But , it is remarkable and joyful  thing at the same time because there is  a good gathering of them who are still adopting  Yezidi Religion (Zoroastrian) religion, the original  religion of the Kurds in various parts of the world. There were different views about the  original country of the Kurds of Sudan, Some say, and documents that they came from the north of Kurdistan and others say that they came from eastern Kurdistan. So we can not be certain of  their being from here or there because we have no documents to prove that. And at last but not least, ,it is a source of pride to us  to hear or discover  news like that. The spread of the Kurds in the world contributes to and helps to publicize and explain the Kurdish issue to  the world opinion
