Grimian in Anatolia
Shafaq After reviewing the various sources concerning Turkey's history,…
it became certain to me that there is an area with this name in Anatolia.
We should note that the region adjacent to the mountains of Kurdistan, especially in the living area of the Kurds in Iraq and Iran, specifically a part of South Kurdistan is also called Grimian. I Will mention here some of the literature about the region called Grimian in Turkey:
In the book on the history of the Ottoman Empire in the Middle Ages: Dr. Mahmoud Mohamed
Ahoira2002: One of the forces that emerged in the western borders of Anatolia in the second half of the 13th century AD is the Principality of Grimian 's children, which has appeared due to the impact of many factors, and all the historic sources of the14th century provides that the Principality of Grimian was so powerful that many Emirates in Anatolia surrendered to it. In addition, it states that Byzantium was paying annual tribute to it.
