"Aldair" is on the outskirts of Badra

Badra in the governorate of Wasit, and the name of the city of "Aldair",…

which means  the fortress or the wall of the God "Anu" and the time of its settlement is traced  to prehistoric times. As mentioned in the first writing ages  it was the first of the metropolitan cities as the name came in the dawn of the strains age in the Akkadian period, expressed as the Sumerians Elamites "BÀD-AN". This formula remained in the era of the dynasty of Ur 3, which was one of the border provinces governed by Shakin { I think it is the Kurdish word Hakhan, which means the horned } or the military ruler .. The city had its important position in the eyes of the old kings of Iraq as a military base through which the armies pass to Elam,
After the fall of the dynasty of Ur 3 and the separation of its territories, and because of the city of Aldair's economic strength and richness and because of its being distant from political centers in Iraq, it had got a great prestige ,and a powerful dynasty had been established in the city in spite of its brief duration.
