US military convoy enters Syria from Iraq

BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:30 P.M.) – An American military convoy consisting of several armored vehicles reportedly entered Syria from the Iraqi border on Saturday, arriving in the city of Al-Qamishli this morning. The American convoy is expected to head to the Syrian-Turkish border in the coming hours as they attempt to deter the Turkish Asrmed Forces from carrying out sporadic attacks against the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). Recently, the Turkish Army and their rebel allies have purposely targeted the Kurdish forces in northern Syria, killing several people living in this PYD-governed region. Turkey claims the informed the U.S. prior to attacking the Kurdish forces; however, it’s hard to believe Washington would approve this kind of aggression, given they are aiding the SDF in the fight against ISIL.
