Expectations of Iraqi need to 5 million of housing units with the entry of investment companies

Shafaq News/ Parliamentary Services and Construction  Committee, predicted on Tuesday, the country's need to reach five million housing units in the case of the investment companies that will work in various sectors entering.

The Federal Ministry of Construction and Housing announced that, last week, that Iraq need to create two million housing units, which Iraqi companies only can not do it at the moment
The Member of parliamentary Services and Construction Committee Kamil Musawi said in an interview with "Shafaq  News" that "investment companies, which will work in various sectors in the country will need housing for their workers. So the  actual need for the housing units in the case of companies entering will be five million housing units."
Musawi indicated that "since more than 15 years  no lands have been distributed to citizens, and what  was distributed now is limited to certain segments of society who were  are affected by the previous regime  such as the politicians prisoners."
The member of the Parliamentary Economic Commission Abdul Hussein Abtan, said  on Sunday, to "Shafaq  News" that his committee is now considering a project to build fast units funded  by commercial banks up to 200 thousand units per year to eliminate the housing crisis, pointing out that "the housing crisis will increase when the citizens  number and it will increase more when the investment companies to enter because of the need of housing for their workers. "
