Parliamentary and governmental conflicts on further oil contracts in Kurdistan

Shafaq News/ In  contrast to statements made by the Minister of Natural Resources on the signing of a number of new oil contracts, a member of the Parliament of the Kurdistan Region, demanded on Saturday, the three presidencies not to allow to sign any oil contracts. The Minister of Natural Resources in the Kurdistan Regional Government, Ashti Hawrami said in a press statement that he expected the growing number of new contracts entered into by his ministry with the foreign oil companies.
In the meantime, a member of the Commission on oil and natural resources in the Kurdistan Parliament Abdullah Mullah Nuri, raised a memorandum to the three presidencies in the province in which he called "not to allow to sign any contracts for new oil until presenting a detailed report by a committee expert in this area on the feasibility of the oil contracts last citizens in the Kurdistan Region and put it in front of parliament for the purpose of discussion. "
