Talabani: Zebari is not responsible for drawing foreign policy, and Iraq would lose the Syrian people

Shafaq News/ The Foreign Relations Committee in the House of Representatives, confirmed on Wednesday that Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari is not concerned in developing a policy on Foreign Relations.It  pointed out that Iraq's foreign policy consists of political parties and communities, warning that Iraq would lose in the end its relations with the Syrian people."Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari is not responsible for drawing Iraq's foreign policy, and we to the day are not aware of the person responsible for drawing up these policies." The member of the parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee, A'ala'a Talabani said to "Shafaq  News","Iraq announced its reservation when the Arab League voted to suspend the participation of Syria in their meetings, how then will we vote when the university to impose economic sanctions on the Syrian regime?" She wondered .A Syrian official, speaking to the world press and preferred not to reveal his identity, that his government knows how to handle the adversity, they suffer from the sanctions years ago, he said, adding that " Russia is the political fortress of Damascus, while Iraq, Lebanon and Iran are its economic oxygen.""Iraqi foreign policy since the fall of the former regime was built on the basis of government's relationship with the rest of the governments, not the Iraqi people's relationship with the rest of the peoples of the region." Talabani indicated.A government official close to Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, said  earlier, I do not expect Iraq to participate in the application of any economic sanctions on Syria."The Syrian regime inevitably fleeting and then Iraq will lose his good relations with the Syrian people." said she.Lt. Farouk al-A'raji, director of the Office of the General Commander of the Armed Forces, said the situation in Syria will not affect the security situation in Iraq if something happened there, in response to a question on Iraq may be affected if the situation in Syria collapsed.The Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari said, earlier, his country's position was to reserve on the decision to suspend the membership of Syria in the Arab League, stressing that the situation in the neighboring country directly affects Iraq.
