Faily Kurds are blown in the winds of storms and ignoring

shafaq news/ One of  the most important events witnessed by the end of last year, was  what happened to the wooden ship that was carrying 380 people, most of them came from Iran and Afghanistan and were planning to go to Australia to seek asylum. There  were  no survivors of those passengers, except 76 people who were on board of the boat. There have been news that such serious event that caused the loss of so many people silently was not given what it deserves in the media, as for what happened in similar migration operations, such as the African coast events .The media then gave great covering about the drowning boats although those migrations witnessed rare death cases.

Iraqi officials and the Kurds are not excused to remain silent on the subject and the death of dozens of their fellow citizens. They were supposed in the least, to deal with the matter professionally and humanely and investigate the names of the victims  by communicating  with the government of Australia, and Indonesia, especially Australia said in the words of Minister of Internal Affairs Jason Claire that his Government had offered to help in search efforts.

As for the news of Faily Kurds drowning is true or not ,it is linked to the activity of  Iraqi government bodies and regional organizations in Kurdistan and the Faily Kurdish own affairs organizations, which we have not noticed yet, as everyone turned a blind eye on the news which they did not investigate and follow up .The drowning events that Iraqis had been subjected to, while resorting to find a third country had happened repeatedly  .Once in an earlier incident, officials in the Australian Customs and Border Protection on 15 December 2010, said that at least 27 people who were believed that they applied for asylum were killed when their boat capsized, in the Indian Ocean .It was carrying illegal immigrants, " Iraqis and Iranians." But some of those people sank  in the ocean.

The pursuing, for the welfare of the Iraqi citizens in other countries is the responsibility of the government in Baghdad and the Kurdistan Region. The media responsibilities is double in this regard because of the atmosphere of freedom of expression it is being enjoyed especially regarding the handling of the conditions of displaced people and Iraqi refugees in other countries. This had to be an incentive for them to follow up their affairs in other countries and reflect the injustice that they have been subjected to, in order to provoke public opinion
